At the heart of the project are two real-world labs that learn from one another: one in Freiburg-Weingarten and the other in Karlsruhe’s Oststadt, known as “Quartier Zukunft.” In close collaboration with local stakeholders, existing measures are analyzed, needs are assessed, and new approaches are co-created. Together, solutions for climate adaptation are developed, tested, and refined. In this way, the project addresses the growing social challenges posed by the climate crisis in urban areas. The project is part of the “Innovation Campus Sustainability.”
