This event takes place as part of the KIT Science Week. On 30.09.2025 (14 - 14.30) there will be a short online meeting with all registered students - the actual event is on 14.10.2025 from 10-17.00.

Please keep 14.10.2025 free as the date of the event. ECTS credits will only be credited in the winter semester 2025/26! You will receive more information on this at the online appointment on 30.09.25

FUTURE WALK
A history of tomorrow
The cooperating global society on planet Earth has turned the corner - global warming is limited to 1.65°C! The implementation of Agenda2030 has worked, poverty, hunger, social inequalities and injustices are a thing of the past. Biodiversity is regenerating in diverse urban ecosystems and new species are exploring liveable cities, clean air, fresh water and nourishing soils. Children are playing in the streets, geographical boundaries are giving way to cultural circles, diversity is colorful and neighborhood and solidarity are consumed. The anthropogenic impact and the ecological footprint of humans is grandchild-friendly and “Earth Overshot Day” is celebrated peacefully worldwide on December 31.
Learning future skills, vision and transformation competence has created the future and empowered a new generation of people to work towards shaping a sustainable co-, environment and afterworld.

Then come to the Zukunftsraum (Quartier Zukunft, Rintheimer Straße 46, 76131 Karlsruhe) on October 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for a thought journey. From there, we will move through the city and end our journey at the Triangel on Kronenplatz. The interactive work phase, discussion and reflection will then take place there.
